Its really not laughable. Like he said the players were refusing to even meet barto let alone take a pay cut. A bunch of pay cuts happened that would not happen anywhere else.

He shamelessly got rid of emerson after presentation being the laughing stock for few days.

He got rid of Griezman, no one else in the world could have managed that.

He got rid of Messi No one had the balls to do that.

Players already had deferred wages and Barto or not them doing that didnt save the club.

It is absolutely laughable to claim Laporta saved Barca.

Anyone who put Griezmann on market could have got rid of him to Atletico.

He didnt get rid of Messi. Wanted to keep him and make him highest paid player in world but couldnt.

Players didnt defer shit, Barto made it worse by giving them higher pay over longer years.

Laporta did save us. Be grateful. For griezman leaving. Show some appreciation.

He wanted to make Messi the higest paid player...or so he says.

While it remains to be seen if Laporta is saving us, there is no doubt that any president wouldn't find it easy to resolve the mess Bartomeu left.

How do you know he didn't want to get rid of him? His behaviour fanboyism towards Messi during campaign doesn't prove much as could have just been a strategy and is possible he was not completely privy to Barca's financial situation.

I think it is very likely he underestimated the shithole Barca was/is in and found out complete picture after he got elected.

He did the necessary things so far, which is not nothing, but not awe-inspiring either. Far too soon to draw any conclusions, which is why I find it amusing how negative some people are towards him already.

Can tell there is not a lot to boast about to date when that lie is trotted out.

Next it will be back to 'Laporta the moral crusader' who despises Qatar due to their human rights being the next lie trotted out.

Anyone would have said keeping Messi isn't the best thing for the club long term, we tried it isn't gonna work let's just go our separate ways.

Anyone would have gotten rid of griezmann's high wages & transfer fee left on the books & it was easy too, he was hot property.

Anyone would have done these two things to stabilize the finances of the club.

Anyone except the man before him who ran us into the ground that it.

Someone else much smarter would have came in & had a plan where an angel investor would have would come in & given us 1b just give it to us & set us on our marry way, that great & smart leader is probably somewhere on Barca forum.

That same person would have also probably flown to Qatar having been summoned & we wouldn't have had to pay the 5m release clause, because those damn broke qataris really needed them 5m that would have really stick it to them.
