Look at their success in Europe. Atletico and Real are still way better than us. Our team fits fine to LaLiga but gets owned in Europe. Their quality of lineup and squad is way better for Europe = meaning better.

Real beat City and Atletico had great chance.

Real are not massively ahead as a squad and Atletico beat who Man Utd?

Atletico dont have a better squad. Real do but not as massively as made out.

Barca fail to get through and doing poor in Europa is used as argument for Xavi to show others who go further have better squad. Just twisting things to suit pre conceived idea.

Man for Man Atletico dont have better squad. No chance.

Nah they arent. They are better but not by that much.

In love with Courtois when he concedes 5 over two legs and concedes 3 goals would scold others for then make out any save is exceptional. But yes he is better than MATS.

Xavi has the 'talent' of Puig you swoon over barely able to get a game. Must be some squad!

We did that because Xavi sets the team well in defense. Remember defending in 10 men vs Atletico and them not getting much if any chances?

Xavi sets up a good conservative defense. Similar to EV. That is one of his qualities no doubt. His weakness so far is wingers positioning by far. Very old school and on the conservative side.

We have a striker averaging a goal every 90 minutes and a winger who is LL's top assister despite only playing half a season.

Just matters which perspective you see it.

There is only one perspective. Benzema and Vinicius shit on our forwards and wingers.

Aubameyang and Dembele are decent to good, on par with players like Carrasco and Correa, just not near those Madrid players who are superstars at the moment.

With JamDav on this one. Gap isn't that big. Most of the posters here thought we were the best team in Spain during our mini run and the Real win.

Now we're levels behind Atleti and Madrid.

But I will say, the Summer markets will dictate how far behind Real we will fall. On paper we can't come close to the Mbappe signing.
