Hojberg or Bentacur if you want for the one, Son prob for the other

In any case max 2 Spurs players get straight away into our strongest XI
Bentacur is the better player than Hojberg and would more fit what Barca would want from a mid.

Bentacur, FDJ and Pedri possibly the best midfield three of both if argument is to replace Busi.

Otherwise it would be FDJ, Pedri and Kuvuleski/Gavi if want one of them to be attacking mid on right as Gavi so often is tried.

It was Kessie for Balde and Rafinha for Pedri in the field, both on 77' and 78'

Guess the 4 man Midfield isn't the magic bullet to all our problems.

Certainly play better with 4 mids. Tonight they were just wasteful.

Meh, Kulusevski is not all that - he alright, but I have never seen him dribble a single player... that's not ok, even Imhotep have some dribbles every match - and that is from an ancient DM lol. Nah stay clear of Kulusevski - we need more technical players.

Stats say he has most dribbles in Spurs team this season and more than any Barca player bar Dembele.

Who is saying to buy him?

The team is still playing far too much on a low speed, complacent level. Xavi is mad about it, but he'll have his hands full teaching these slow Spanish players to play proper tempo football for 90 mins. If he even can.

It's not even tactical as some believe, it's just that most Spanish players are just not used to pushing themselves physically. How many Spanish players you know that are superb athletes, and look like they actually spend time building their physique?

Most look like skinny kids well into their 20s. Rather short, technical no doubt, and most look slightly fitter than a normal dude (not speaking about those that eat pizzas and drink sodas every day).

I don't look at likes of Pedri and see an athlete.

So, considering we have this limitation, stop buying more of these like FUCKING FERRAN TORRES! We are already covered in the technical area. Time to bring in some men in this team that can compete physically with the best. Not all of them are crap technically, there are physical players out there who are very good on the ball also. Find them and sign some.

Positional play is as much about "la pausa" as it is about fast-tempo tiki-takaing... Xavi wouldn't sing praises for Busi every time he speaks otherwise. Sometimes you need to slow the play down, it's impossible to be rabid for 90 mins without burnout, but we are doing it too much and too readily once we go ahead.

It is on Xavi to increase the intensity.

It isnt the intensity anyway so much as team looks lost at times as how to break down teams sitting with 5 at back.

Xavi always blames the players for something or other.. 'positional play' or 'intensity'.. well that is his job to improve those.

He is the ones that choses to think Busi etc is best DM in the world or pay big money for a 34 year old striker.

Dont take evrything coaches say at face value either.. he is not picking teams or making subs to improve intensity a lot of the time and sets the team out to try and control ball and wait for it to open up often.

Our La Pausa lasts 30 mins.
