My president

🗣[ @SiqueRodriguez🥇] | Bartomeu, Oscar Grau and the club?s legal adviser, Ramon Gomez, photocopied the ?222M check on Neymar and hung the picture in the office. They were happy about the sale and then they lost their heads in the transfer market.

I think Dortmund, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid hung that photo in their offices too.

Nothing wrong in being partial to good Spanish players who know the club better than other players. We always had a big Spanish core in our most succesul sides.

Wait…now u just speculating. Why would Spanish players know the club better?

Can't help but see some major similarities between Xavi and Ole. Both leveraging their goodwill at the club to promote local lads showing obvious partiality towards English and Spanish lads. Both have a pretty undefined style of play despite marketing it as Barca/United way. Both had a good bounce at the start. Both will get way too much time and patience from the board and the fans. Both got the job due to nepotism when there were better options in the market. Both protected by the media. Ole's at the wheel:Xaviball.

When will these dinosaurs realise that hanging on to the past is not the way out in modern Football. Just because Pep turned out amazing 😂

Stopped reading at "We always had". That's the place where you're doomed. That line of thinking doesn't work in Today's Football. Ask Pirlo, Ole, Lmapard, etc....

"Promote local lads", Xavi has not promoted anyone, he has gone 100% on already established players, and preferred them in every case. Dembele is one of them, and he is hardly local. Xavi seems to be without a "sense of possibility", but relies on established structures and players.

🚨🚨[ @FabrizioRomano🥇] | Busquets decided to STAY in Barcelona next season after a conversation with Xavi. The player wanted to step aside for the new generation but Xavi told him He's the most important player for the new project

Zinchenko would be an excellent candidate for that pseudo interior role to be fair. Or even a midfielder converted to LB like Sergi Gomez (potentially).

But it would be nice to go more vertically and with pace with guys like Hakimi. If we can find an emerging option with potential. Eg. Vanderson.

What about Lyon's Malo Gusto?
Converted RB who knows how to defend, was once a playmaker so he knows how to cross , link up and moving inside. Not a speedster FB But fast enough to hold his own.

I seen to agree with nearly all your posts. You are 100% right. We will just burn through more money and time with Xavi at the helm. The board and local fans just seem to live in their own little bubble. It's the international fans that can see clearly. The local fans have a strong sense of identity with the legends and Masia players but football has moved on. Laporta doesn't realize that he got lucky with Pep,Messi and the golden generation. That era is OVER.
Ii almost seems we are resigned to mediocrity at the moment. How many times did Utd appear to be turning the corner only for them to go back to being shit. This will happen with Xavi too. Our resurgence for those two months was a mirage. Nothing else. The fact that he still wants his amigos as starters is a huge red flag. This is going to end in tears and maybe humiliation on the European front again.

Solskjaer didn't have a system identity least one I could figure out.

Xavi's system's very defined, nothing but crosses. Wondering how he did so well in Qatar, competition must've been really weak.
