Oh God no, if she's in Dr. Cugat's hands then she probably won't return for two years.

Euro is starting tonight at Old Trafford. England vs Austria. Should be an easy win for a home team.

Spain will play their first game on Friday against Finland. Germany and Denmark are the other two teams in their group. So a pretty tough group, especially now without Alexia.





After Alexia's ACL injury, Bar?a are extremely angry at the Spanish federation. She's not the first player that gets seriously injured with the national team

The training sessions are very different, and the club considers that they're being 'forced too hard.' ?Via Sport

Also, before her injury Alexia was also the first player to reach 100 games for Spain in a friendly against Australia last week.

Salma Paralluelo (Villarreal) is close to sign. With her signing we'll have 27 players but are only allowed to have 23 (and a third GK) so some players will need to leave on loan. Club is also still deciding whether to sign a replacement for Alexia. We only have three healthy midfielders although Claudia Pina can also play there but obviously none can really replace Alexia.

8 Barca players have just won U19 Euro with Spain. Julia Bartel has scored a last minute winner in the final against Norway. Ari Mingueza (Oscar's litttle sister) was also part of the team.

There was a lovely touch from the Spain team who, on the winners' podium, brought out the number 14 shirt of Alexia Putellas, the senior team's captain who suffered a cruciate ligament injury this week, ruling her out of the UEFA Women's EURO.

CD Tacon (aka Real Madrid)'s challenge of the name of Madrid CFF in court was rejected. CD Tacon alleged Madrid CFF, which was founded in 2010, has a name that resembles its but luckily somebody with a common sense told them to sit down and take a hike.
