Don't know if this is becoming a more frequent issue or not but you could get the idea with how much media attention fan invasion incidents have been receiving of late, be it when Everton stayed up or Milan won the title and they had Ultras beating own fans up at tunnel entrance.
Some are boring, some are not.
On the other hand apparently St Etienne may be getting bought by Mericans.

After being relegated (ending up last in the league) to Ligue 2, Bordeaux was relegated administratively to 3rd division a couple weeks ago. They appealed, but the appeal got rejected. The club already announced earlier that they would just go bankrupt because their model cannot survive in 3rd division. In that case, Bordeaux will have to start over from the amateur league, in 5th division.
The result of a terrible sale to a US hedge fund a few years ago, and of another sale last season to a complete crook (Gerard Lopez, known for almost tanking Lille, tanking Mouscron, and tanking Lotus in F1 a bit before). What an absolute massacre for such a historic team.
