The majority of managers and players would leave the stepping stone clubs such as Brighton for the elite clubs. We are still part of that bracket and certainly a more attractive project than when Koeman signed.

Firstly it is a question of money, we usually pay very good salary to our managers. Then there is prestige, legacy and all that.

It is more likely that Barcelona wouldn't sign Zerbi than the other way round, because of they way we prioritize our managerial selections.

Dont agree.

Being in EPL in good club is huge for these coaches.

There is a lot they wouldnt like about Barca and things they would have to deal with wouldnt at Brighton.

If it was Brighton or Barca and never to get another job then yes but they value being in a good place and moving on from there to the right big club at the right time.

Barca is too political for a lot of these coaches and freedom they would want due to finances etc.

They may only get one shot at an elite club and they need to go to one that suits.

Same with likes of ETH.. dont think the conditions at Barca were ones he would have left Ajax for.. he was waiting for big EPL job where can have more or less compete control

jammy lost his marbles, sure thing brighton is a better place to play football than barca matey

Nah Barca is better place to play.

Many coaches would not leave a good EPL job for Barca though.

As said.. dont think ETH would have wanted Barca job either when at Ajax and was waiting for EPL move.

Yes, must be fun to be manager in a team like Brighton where every other decent player gets sold. Great for the club to rake in a bunch of cash, but what can the manager do? Not like they'll be able to buy a 70m replacement for Caicedo, because no player worth that much will want to move to there.

Of course De Zerbi, an Italian, would leave Brighton (a club he has 0 ties to) if Barca came calling. He would be stupid not to.

Braga striker Vitinha has chosen to sign for Marseille.

Southampton had looked his likely destination before the Ligue 1 club stepped in. The player is now on his way to the French club to complete the move.

Vitinha has a release clause of more than ?26m in his contract that both clubs were prepared to pay.

---

Only Marseille can compete with Brighton and Southampton for signings.

Everton have been the much better team so far and really deserve to be winning.

Arsenal will probably find some 30 yard Odegaard long shot and still end up with 3 points though.
