Most important thing is we prevent a 1:4 rule this summer if we sign a CVC deal (270m) and sell BLM for 200m but problem is we're late with selling BLM and it's possible deal won't be done before end of June.

And second, our salary limit is -144m and current squad costs around 550m so we need almost 700m.

It's funny how people want a competitive squad who could be able to compete with Real, City, Bayern, Lpool, Chelsea and PSG but than those same people oppose to any viable solution. Money won't fall from the tree and we are broke as it gets so we can either do something or sell our entire quad and accept the fact that we won't be able to compete for anything significant during the next decade. I personally don't give a fuck what this board will do as long as this club finds a way to compete for major trophies once again.

True. They want Laporta to shit money and get us out of this hole without any damage. Based on some idea that a good president would be able to erase the sabotage job of Bartomeu.

Exactly how that would work nobody knows...

Who has claimed they think Barca should be competing in CL now and without taking any deals?

It wouldnt take a decade to recover and rebuilding is an option... while even then signing these deals put Barca at disadvantage for the next 40 years.

So if they do these deals are you expecting Barca to be challenging for CL? If dont then what was the point?

Don't say anything just be silent give it time, people are crazy, 90% of those who are now saying the deal is bad, are the same ones who were saying we should have signed last summer.

They tried for 12 months to come up with a work around & came to the conclusion that the club is in an existential crisis & we have no choice right now but to sign the shitty deal that is in front of us.

It's was bad the moment it was announced, as was clear as day, day one it was announced, it's bad now, but sacrifices had to be made if we want to remain competitive in the slightest.

Same set of fans who are saying it's a bad deal now, are the same ones who said we should have signed then, would also be the same ones who say we are so so shit. When we start next season with the exact team we have now. Perhaps minus Frankie and no means to register a few free signs we made.

At some point they will realize signing the deal wasn't just about signing a few 30 year olds, but stabilizing the club has a whole, bartomeu put us 1b in the hole, there is no easy solution to fix it.

Nope.

This deal as discussed was not the same as one discussed last summer while those that are saying was bad deal last summer now happy for it to be signed so works both ways.

If they can give up 10% or less for players like Haaland it is one thing to give that up for old players and to give up 25% of future is a different argument anyway. As is adding to it on top of sales of parts of the club.

Same fans who said bad deal then said it should be signed now.

Just waiting to see what way Laporta goes then deciding if good or bad.

There are options.. sell players accept that there needs to be a peroid of cutting back and rebuilding to try and safe guard the future of the club.

Short term gain that will hit in future.. better not be another pandemic and club are giving up 20-25% of tv money. Be absolutely done then let alone the annual short fall for 40 years will have against wealthy leagues and Real.

Imo the question is if this really makes the difference between having a competitive squad or not.

If yes then it may make sense, having stars and winning titles/competing in CL is what drives up revenue and makes sure the brand stays valuable. "Rebuilding for years" is something fans like to say but there is no gurantee as well and things move fast in football, might fall too far behind if we decide to just play kids for 3-5 years and don't come back with a new golden generation winning CLs after that.

But if it just means we can afford to register Kessie, Christensen, sign Alonso and Azpi and then get old Lewandowski as only top class player...well, competitive in CL looks different. Competing for 2nd place in la liga and trying to get ouf of group stage in CL can be done cheaper.

Don't need to shit any money, Just play the fucking kids and stop buying older players on higher salaries, it will only take a few years for our finances to recover at best. Instead we have people who think handicapping the club for 40 fucking years so they can get another Coutinho is a good idea. Do you think you need to spend 100m+ on every player to have a competitive squad (in la liga for the time being?) I know you don't so taking that type of stance is as absurd as buying torres for a potential fee of 65m if we were in such terrible financial position in La Liga FFP wise (lets not bring up the re-signing of roberto and his wages...). I wouldnt even look at lewie either as he is super expensive and wont address the most critical areas of our squad - neither will azpi or the murdering scumbag from chelsea.

Secondly why did they move all that debt forward if it was going to cause so many issues right now, it was just stupidity on their part. We have potential $ coming from sales so that should help somewhat.

I have always preferred that we buy smart than we buy big - im pretty sure you have similar thoughts on this. We should only go for older talent if it is absolutely necessary.

thirdly why cant we do a city and fight these restrictions and that corrupt fuck tebas via CAS/FIFA? Could potentially argue against these policies citing covid and restrictions being unreasonable.

Why do people thing the sole purpose of selling BLM, signing CVC, goldman sachs agreement is solely to sign to a few 30 year olds? Lol.

Get 700m in financing to sign a few 30 year olds doesn't make any freaking sense now does it?.

Clear their are deeper systemic issues the club is dealing with that they need income to handle appropriately.

Everyone is just so hell bend focus on azpi & Alonso.

Or have the balls to take on the socios and tell them Barca model is dated and need external investment.

It was rumoured to be what Reverter wanted to happen as inevitable to compete in future but board/Laporta refused.

Now could probably turn to that in few years with investement being put off by terrble deals for 40 years giving 20/25% of tv money for what? A couple old full backs and a 34 year old striker?

Because the primary reason they are even entertaining the deal is the salary limit and inability to spend money this summer.

What players they then bring in is a huge talking point.

And how would playing kids solve anything? This would eventually lead to even worse results and even less money. If our revenues shrink even further we won't be able to compete with big clubs in the long run. Finances wouldn't recover on their own. If there are no major trophies there are no big sponsors. People seriously need to realize that FC Barcelona is not FC Sevilla. An average decade would mean the end of this club. Look at what happened to AC Milan. In the end they were bought and sold multiple times and maybe now, after 15 fucking years, they might have a clear path in front of them. Without money you can't do shit. Simple as that!
