Net Spend over the last 10 years.

Here's the net spend of the biggest clubs over the last 10 years.

Shocking how low Real Madrid are.

At the top are the usual suspects United, City, Barca, PSG.

Pretty interesting now that you look at these figures with the power of hindsight because you know exactly how the next 10 years panned out for these clubs.

Most of the money was spent for Hazard, a player which Real doesnt even need lol. Shocking is also how much utd, barca and psg have spent and still playing crap, at least City knows to play well.

Why are only we in the dog house?
Sometimes I wonder whether whether professional football is just a way for rich oiligarchs a way to entertain themselves. Play station does not cut it for them.

Because Barto gave out huge contracts like candies?

Net spend on transfers was hardly our biggest problem. 650m in 10 years are just 65m/year :S What was our wage mass? 600-700m/year?

Spending too much money but never with idea of modernising and updating the team.

Was always about old fuckers on big contracts as they didnt have any desire to rebuild for after they left and signings in most part they tried to pay for what they wronglu thought that old team needed and instant success.

Coaches brought in that would not rock boat of trying to rebuild or piss off players.

There has never been a desire to modernise this Barca squad for year. Nearest have got is the pace added in January and that was on limited options. Still Barca have same problem and same old players are still seen as unique and cant be replaced and same issues will be there next year.

Top teams have board that are there for long term good of club, clear ideas of modern day football and coaches that have full control of playing squad. Barca had none of those and still lack a lot of it.
