I kind of want them to win though to add some more fixtures to their schedule but an L here would be epic

United can't finish anything today, but then, everytime there has been a trophy on the line in recent years, they mess it up somehow, not a coincidence.

this is why i say united are a mediocre squad, though. on paper, they look terrific--varane, pogba, fernandes, rashford/sancho (ok these 2 less so), CR--but in practice they are preeeetty underwhelming.

i cant emphasize enough just how much varane has declined since his CL 3peat with real. he is a completely different (and worse) player today.

and i wont hide the fact that CR has been on a bad run of form for the past 3-5 games.

his 80m transfer for me is up there with coutinho and hazard as the very worst signings of all time
