Alvaro Sanz (born 14 February 2001) is a 20-year-old La Masia midfielder/fullback who transferred here from Zaragoza as a child. A key part of Barca B this season, often referred to as Sergi Barjuan's 'Swiss Army Knife' due to his ability to play almost anywhere in midfield and defense. He has been a reliable option both for Garcia Pimienta last season and Sergi Barjuan this season. He started the friendly game against Boca Juniors under Xavi and has now made his first-team debut against Mallorca at Son Moix, replacing Nico in the 70th minute.

Alvaro is a versatile player who can play anywhere in the midfield and at right-back as well. Although diminutive at 1.70m, he has a great engine and workrate and can always be relied upon to put effort in defensively. He is noted to be a very perceptive player who gains the coach's trust in whatever system he is placed in, and a humble character off the field who is respected by his team-mates.

To fans of Barca B and people who know the player, comparisons are often drawn to Sergi Roberto.

Another player who Bartomeu fucked, since he inserted that stupid 'play 10 games for the first team, we need to pay' clause, in this case 2,5M to Zaragoza. Will never happen anyway, he didn't look good against Boca, and was nothing special tonight. Considering he's a CDM, no way he's in the first team this season again and not even as long as Busquets is here, and even after that, if neither Nico nor FDJ won't play there permanently, hopefully we look more to integrating Jandro Orellana or even Marc Casado, captain of Juvenil A right now, who seems to be particularly promising.

Jandro I feel will end up in Segunda soon and may take a Monchu style route. He doesn't look to be trusted even by Barjuan, despite the things he showed last season, and there have been rumours he wants to break the contract recently.

How exactly did Bartomeu fuck that? Would you prefer to pay 2,5m straight upfront for him? Most deals for young unproven players are done with included future clauses if a player makes it to the first team at some point. 2,5m also wasn't that much money for us in 2015 and if Sanz would ever turn out good enough to play 10 games for the first team he'd almost surely be worth that kind of investment.

No need to really worry about that too much though imo. All he needed was 16 first team players being unavailable to make his first team debut. I doubt he'll get anywhere close to the team again when we get players back.

I dont think he was bad, though I doubt he arrives at the first team bar todays capacity. With a oush he seems he can become a LaLiga player

The next wave Txus Alba, Casado, Cases have all trained with the first team since Xavi has arrived. So they will get their chances in the next season, but seems Xavi doesnt see any Gavi potential in them.

For more Alvaro Sanz is reliable and experienced.

Jandro is still injured right? Hence hardly featuring for B.

Sold to Mirandes. Barca retain 45% of future fee. He joins the Riqui gang of leaving for free with a high percentage sell-on clause.

Don't ever see him making it to LL, even at a relegation-level side. Puig I could see playing for EL/Conference league level club
