The crux of the current problem is crystal clear, mismanagement by Bartomeu et al. From a sporting & financial perspective. The sporting side is not simply the poor choice of coaches & transfers but erosion of La Masia, philosophy and targeting of players that fit the club's criteria for style of play & mentality

It is far more a job than replacing Leo or having Xavi arrive as a coach, they will have to re-stabilize not just the play but the path to the 1st team from either within or outside the club. The chief architects are already here in Laporta & Xavi so we are unquestionably on the right track - my only question would be sporting director. Is Alemany the ideal person going forward? Time will tell

Nah 'erosion of La Masia' is nonsense.

The squad has Fati, Gavi and Nico while Pedri signed at 16. Araujo also signed as younger player and ages of players classed as La Masia in the past.

That is potentially 2nd in Golden Boy, First in Golden Boy, First in Golden Boy three years running.

Ilaix from La Masia allowed for 20m odd to add to coffers while other young players are there to be given chances soon.

The issue was holding on to veterans too long and trying to cover for too many old legs and big money spent on players that didnt work out.

Then it all compounded and made worse by covid.

The ability of club to improve should be there from January on and it can all turn round very quickly if get correct players in.

Absolutely agreed! My point is that just getting them out of the way won't magically solve things, as has been proven by the club's previous decisions... They should be shown the door, but we should be finding proper replacements and no more Coutinhos and Setiens...
