R10 - Eto'o - Messi
Xavi - Iniesta - Busquets
Abidal - Puyol - Pique - Alves
Victor Valdes

Prime R10 (04-06) and prime Messi (08-15) on the wings with Mr. CL in the middle...not a better attack ever IMO.

You would think he was automatically in there, even if you hadn't actually seen him play.
Also, Pique over Koeman? I don't know about that.

I would have love to include Ronaldo and Laudrup as Cruyff loved playing in diamond formation where even the DM at times played in CF position. This is my personal XI as I include players I witnessed myself on TV. Otherwise not including Cruyff, one the greatest footballers of all time, would be blasphemy.

Alba definitely an individually better player than Abidal. If we want maximum output from Messi it's Alba who's got the left side covered. He might be a crybaby but he's always performed when surrounded by top players.
Defensively Abidal is superior, but we're Barca, we don't do defence.

Yeah, I'd go for the 2011 team but simply add Alba to the LB. I think it would be the best possible TEAM you could make, not only from Barcelona but overall. Maybe, maybe add Ronaldo/Suarez/Eto'o instead of either Pedro or Villa but I am not so sure.
