It is no wonder he is playing badly. As well as not being up to the level for Barca he is being asked to do something he has absolutely no idea how to do.

A 4-3-3 '9' is ideally a technical player with good movement that can get in behind and who can involve themselves in buildup. Luuk De Jong is a big slow longball forward who wants to sit deep.
