Benzema was always LaLiga's 2nd best player since Cristiano left.

Hakimi didn't want to become a back-up for Carvajal & left for more playing time.

I doubt Hakimi would've been as good as he's now if he stayed at Madrid.

Benzema was always Real Madrid's undisputed starter since Higuain left. Morata was just a super-sub or played as a starter with the B-team.

You can check out the statistics yourself, he didnt always play every game, also after Higuain.

It feels so relieving watching this. Deflections and some luck involved, but there's a tenacity and confidence about the way we create chances that wasn't there for since maybe spring 17/18
