Messi is a world-class athlete who has played at the top level for decades. He doesn't need to 'save' himself at PSG for 6 games with Argentina, nor would only 6 games take so much out of him that he'd somehow not be a good player anymore.
If he plays bad in the CL it is his fault, just as if he plays well it is his credit.
And there is all the motivation to do well with PSG in the CL... because a Ballon'Dor is surely awaiting if they win it.
