Some say that he started to drop deep after 2015.
But he is dropping deep since 1999' :mou:

Some will say that he had bad midfielders in this match so he had to drop deep.

One of your funniest posts yet, I actually lol'd.
But considering it's 1999 the "modern winger" wasn't in vogue yet, the classical no. 10 and wide midfielders however, were. Messi was probably being trained and employed as Maradona type no. 10 at that stage like most talented quick left footed wingers were back then.

Yes, deep down in his veins, he was born and raised as a classical CAM, no. 10.

He played as a RW for a few years, but apparently his heart wants to play in the middle.

Almost all attacking minded legends played in the middle and/or had (some) freedom around the pitch.

Just a friendly reminder that MSN didn't get the ground running immediately. It wasn't till the later half of the season when they really clicked. PSG team is still getting used to Messi. Messi and Neymar are trying to find their spark connection again (which wasn't too bad what I seen in that game, I saw moments), and the players will be sharper.

Messi didn't play badly, but he did play more reserved.

True i remember the days when we lost to real 3-1 and then against celta vigo 0-1, people were disappointed about suarez and some guys wrote MSN wont work

Sources from the club say that Jorge Messi requested Bar?a to sell a young player for a large fee in order to be able to register Messi.

At one point, the club considered the possibility of selling Ansu Fati. It would have been the only way to register Messi. In the end, they decided against it.

If there is any truth in the above, both Messi and his father should be ashamed
Barto would have done it
Thankfully, Laporta is more sane

lol Messi should be ashamed for wanting to stay?
He was accepting a wage reduction of 50% (and supposedly more) but shouldn't ask the club to try to do what's in their power? Frankly ridiculous!

That's just 'wanting to stay'? LOL
Not throwing away the future of the club for his 2 final years of his career in Europe?

It's not his decision.
He should play, and not be ashamed for wanting to stay. If his dad brings up potential solutions it's only nice of him to do so, nothing to be ashamed of at all.
It's a very strange view that a player should decide when to step back because some people on the internet doesn't see their worth anymore but prefer younger players. No Messi wanted to stay his last years in the club and he is of infinitely more worth to the club as a 34yo than Ansu Fati will ever be.

If he started to moan that the club should feel ashamed for not selling Ansu Fati, that's a bit of a different question.

This is fake news. Also, nowhere in diariARA has mentioned anything like that.
