Player have always got away with too much power and politics at Barca no matter how much some like to dismiss idea of amigos.

Messi did it as well. It is juts bizarre it still goes on to this day.

Can you imagine Klopp allowing his player to behave in way amigos have in past few years? Absolutely no chance and if club wouldnt back him he would leave.

Messi is on a Middle Eastern peace mission. Takes money from Qatar, takes money from Saudi and is going to find a common solution in Yemen.

His PR is so good that they managed to convince enough people that he couldn't have stayed on low wages because of a segunda division clause that prohibits players taking more than a 50% paycut
