Virus found another host after OG got dropped.
Put CR7 in Lewan's spot in Bayern, CR7 could be in top 5.
Put Lewan on Juv and Man-U, Lewan probably not in top 5.
Also age 36 should also be a factor.

It's weird how people look differently on things on different places on Earth or on the internet.
In Croatia, on the most popular news site, under the news of Messi winning Ballon D Or, there is a poll, who should have won it: Messi or Lewandowski.
Currently there is 3200 votes in 20 minutes of voting with results:
83% Lewandowski
17% Messi
It seems that average football fans are not too happy with the winner this year.
For our fans, it seems as if only Cr7 and RM fans are unhappy which doesn't seem to be the truth.
But Ballon was often a PR award.

But how popular is Messi in eastern europe really? Maybe that part of the world a bit biased towards Lewandowski? Conduct that poll in any of the America's and see how those numbers drastically change.

A lot of people are mad because Lewandowski didn't get the 2020 award which he deserved. That's understandable. Somehow people are delusional enough to think this one should have been counted for both 2020 + 2021 which it never was. France Football made it clear to the journos who voted. Only consider 2021.

You’d think some absolute bum just won the ballon d’or. Top scorer of the league, plenty of assists. Goals in the UCL, screamer against PSG. Won the copa America as best player, top scorer and assister.

Does Lewa deserve the 2020 ballon d’or, yes. Get over it. This is 2021. He scored lots of goals in a team that absolutely dominates the league and that was all he accomplished in 2021.
