Liverpool without Salah but 11 men playing at home 0 - 0 Arsenal playing with 10 men, surprisingly Xhaka sent off.

First leg.

What a bore of a match.

Is there such a thing as a good 0-0 ? Possibly.

I found the game intriguing once Xhaka. was sent off. His challenge was poor, deserved a red, but he did well getting back to make the tackle/foul/assault. There was no WB or CB in sight.

But could a 10 man Arsenal hold Liverpool without Salah and Mane, at Anfield? Answer yes. Underlining the meagre resources at Liverpool and how fortunate they are that those two have excellent fitness/ injury levels.

Liverpool did not wake up til the last 10 mins and the constant bombardment of Arsenal was watchable.

Food for thought for Klopp. Get an additional striker, or teach composure to the back ups.

Game is boring as fuck , expected more.

Other than that 1v1 from Grealish that he missed , nothing important happened.

Hopefully there will be a better 2nd half.

Lukaku chance was decent for Chelsea.

True though, boring game. This is sort of game you expect from two teams who defend well.

Super hard to play against this City side. I guess Tuchel decided there would ne possibility to beat them with their usual active approach and went for a very defensive formation.
City showing patience and waiting for one or two golden opportunities.
