Birdy what's going on at Chelsea btw? They've been on a terrible run since the Juve win.
They had been simply getting results above their xG until recently, and this has started to change.

Look at this until Nov.30th:

What SHOULD have been the Table (Left) VS Actual Table (Right)

Now the trend changed: they get unlucky despite creating even better chances than before.
Tonight's game was hilarious:

They paddled Everton, but ...

In a long run of games, you gonna have a lot of that. But most of the times it evens out by the end of the 38 game run.
That's why Leagues are the most fair competition (unlike Cups)

Chelsea is too reactive under Tuchel. Out of the 3, they have clearly the most issues breaking down a good defense, with City being the best (focus on quick and creative passing) and Liverpool very close (focus on great wing play and vicious cutbacks and crosses).

It's no surprise, compare attack Liverpool City and Chelsea. I take City and Liverpool all day.

Look at this as well:

It's the first time since Pep took over at City and Klopp took over at Pool, that Liverpool has a BETTER attacking output than City!!!
Amazing, never happened before, and City is not trending down at xG created, they have as much as previous seasons (btw 2.0 and 2.5 per 90)
But Liverpool never had more than 2.0 or so, and now they are trending way above > 2.5 xG created per game

On the other hand, City's defense...
Conceding only slightly above 0.5 xG per game.
That's something!!
I think they can win CL if they keep this number as down in European ties as well

PL has become the most difficult league to win by far in the last few years, when you have two teams playing at such a high level(though last season was more normal) its really difficult to keep up, not many mistakes are allowed or you will fall behind quickly.

The last 3 English teams to win CL did not win EPL that season. Pep needs CL more than EPL, but needs a touch of luck in a cup.

So City and Liverpool are going head to head for the two. At the end of the season if Klopp wins PL he will be delighted - Liverpool have only won it once in 30 years.

If Pep wins CL this season, he will be delighted.

Therein lies their priorities.

Chelsea felt the pressure at the top of EPL and with City and Liverpool in pursuit, could not deliver a run of 100% wins. However, they will come good again. Won 6 Draw 3 Lost 1.

Salah is in scintillating form. Liverpool Won 8 Draw 1 Lost 1

But City’s false 9 is difficult to defend against, as if CBs favour trying to mark a brilliant no 9, because that is what they are use to doing. City Won 9 Lost 1

Anyone else find it fascinating how Man City and Liverpool stats are almost identical this year?

They are near identical, shots both 19.4 per game, Man City average 66.4% possession, Liverpool 63.4% possession, around the same amount of tackles (13.8 and 13.1) and they spend 37% and 35% of the time in their opponents last third respectively.

Two special managers.

Curious, do you think your team(you are City-supporter, right?) will be better, the same, or worse(surely not?), if Haaland were to join you?

A City supporter.

Want Barca to succeed and not RM in the Spanish league

Haaland would strengthen City.

What no one knows, is how Pep would use the squad? I assume he would play the classic 9, but when rested, would Pep switch to false 9 ?

Arteta swept Leeds 1-4 away

Proves he is a good coach
Proves he improved Arsenal massively
Proves improving takes fucking time and can't be done overnight

Arsenal can def challenge for the 4th place, along with UTD Tottenham and West Ham

Hopefully they at least push United hard for top 4 so they can’t just rest players for their CL matches

Bielsa is getting negative comment for the slide with Leeds. Yet Bielsa was willing to put a team out with only 8 players that had previously played a home game for Leeds, the rest were youngsters including the bench.

For some reason, other PL clubs can cancel.
