Wasn't a good enough reason for Messi to move to Spurs though ...

He would have been my #1 signing for a CB.

Had a dodgy period after the WC, but now back at top form. Messi recently said he is the best in the world and very difficult to argue with that. Close between him and Uruguayo.

Messi wanted him at Barca after the Copa triumph. Him and Araujo at centre back would have been incredible. The best centre back partnership Barca would have ever had in their history.
