Nobody said he has to be a speed demon, but you at least need to be ok physically to be a good winger. Demir's top speed is considerably lower than Busquets statistically. Of course this will pose an obstacle for him to succeed at a high level.
At the highest level even if you can murder defenders with your technique, being super slow and weak they'll just catch up and be able to recover straight away if they get beaten on a dribble.
