Franck Kessie

The idea of 'Barca DNA' is holding club back.

There is not a top club around that would have Busquets and not FDJ in their side.

What Barca lack are players that do the basics well not some fabled idea of Barca DNA that is long out of date.

Not that it is an argument for Kessie but that idea in general is a nonense and end up with group of players that can barely compete on the most fundamental parts of the game.

What is Barca DNA?
MIDGETS getting humiliated in Europe most of the time.
Even Xaviesta got blown away by that treble winning Bayern.

Totally agree. This Barca DNA is a manufactured myth. Much like the myth that Australia is a lucky country. We were just lucky to have the perfect storm of great players and great coach coming together. What has La Masia pruduced of late? Only Gavi and Fati. They're both still young and jury is still out on them.
Physical players like Motta, Van Bommel and Edmilson did well here.

He'll be a fine squad player. I think he'll mostly rotate with Gavi while Busi will again be undroppable and Pedri will also play almost every minute when available.

Let's hope he'll stay fit because without Frenkie he'll have to run even more for that dinosaur.

Looks pretty lazy. Sure he'll fit in here and become even more lazier treating us like his retirement home.

He's more nonchalant than lazy. He has insane stamina.

Definitely not the same. Not being energetic and having much stamina is an option too.
Barca without ball is always about swarming like bees and recuperate possession as soon as possible and not stroll and cover spaces.

Not saying he would be bad option for free I just don't rate his style.

Polar opposite to Frankie should he replace him in the XI, where Frankie just runs around like a headless Chicken at times with no impact to the game, even something van gaal commented about, kessie just kinda jogs around rarely doing more than is necessary.

Idk if that's an improvement are not tbh.

Haha no FDJ does not run round like a headless chicken.

The question is that if he has effective movement, can he be molded to DMC? His passing is effective with a high pass rate and rarely dispossessed.

You're right that is indeed the question, watching this game he is indeed very effective in possession, calm and pics the right pass.

We can't complain about a free pickup like this. We need different profiles and depth for next years weird season with a World Cup in between. And I think it's astute to get good quality players that won't be in the WC too.
