We have tough schedule this spring as well. Away Sevilla, Sociedad, Real to name few. Overtaking Atletico will take a miracle

It will be I dont believe the coaches will rest players in this game and it would piss off players if did that and lost as they will still believe in part that Atletico can be caught.

Could see it being more likely players are rested if first leg in cup is away to Levante or in home game v Alaves at weekend if going to happen.

The starters will play v Betis.

No matter what they say they will still think Atleti can slip up in league with some diificult fixtures coming up and the players would react well to that game being given up.

Of course they want to win every possible point in the case Atletico slips up. Don't think this is the main motivator though. Atletico still has one game less and Koeman will be realistic enough to know that it is theirs to lose and even then Barca will have to win every game which isn't realistic either. Right now it is more about staying up 2nd place as Madrid also has 40 points. Sevilla has 39 points and they are in good form lately, winning 4 of their last 5 La Liga games.

Alaves right before PSG-tie will be the game to rest some starting players. Betis is too good for strong rotation. Bad start into the season is costing the team now. Starting the league 2 rounds later wasn't any help either as it let the table look even worse. Let's hope players are smart enough to catch up some minor injuries or discomfort right before the international break in March. Barca is always suffering from it with players returning dead ass tired.

We have to start closing games earlier to make use of the 5 subs.

That way we can keep the core playing and rest Araujo for Mingueza, Pedri for Puig, Trincao/Braith for Dembele/Griez/Messi and etc.

Rotate vs Betis and vs Alaves, and unleash everything vs Sevilla and PSG.

Overtaking Atletico is a pipe dream.
