Sociedad are in awful form. 1W 7D 4L in 12 games in all competitions. All losses have come the last 6 games.

No doubt it's good to win it. It's also good to win SuperCopa which is a consequence of winning both domestic comps, is a direct meeting between big clubs, which officials and players always treat quite seriously and far from a friendly it is made out to be. But you miss the context. You see, serghei and the contingent of fans who thought he was posting decent stuff for them to vehemently agree with at the time looooooooved to downplay the role of Copa. Lovely to see he's onto the other side of the relative spectrum now that Barca have a struggle for top4 on their hands and he thinks Copa is actually an OK trophy now! Lol. Guess we'll just have to remind the fans every now and then.

You think Barca have a struggle for top four?

Surely Real and Barca make top four fairly easily.

Maybe not, no, you're probably right. Certainly what some section of Cules will think, but I think you'll make top 4 provided others don't have the depth to sustain the length of the season and also playing in European comps. For some time I thought Sevilla will comfortably be up there and Sociedad might nick it, but seems it's not gonna happen.

Would rather the players got rest but at same time would like to see the current set up vs Real at weekend assuming they go through.

As would be biggest test to highlight flaws prior to league run in and PSG game.

Same. Supercup is only worth something if there's a Clasico involved, that we can use as a test game, since it's not very long until the Camp Nou match with PSG.

Sevilla should still get top four and not prevent Barca/Madrid.

Likes of Sociedad and Villareal cant see being in there regardless of if they have European runs.

Even Sevilla need to up their game a bit, Atletico away and few other away games coming up.

Nah, pretty big factor in them being able to do it. Sociedad hit the wall now after exerting to sustain the entire autumn and will find it even more difficult if not crashing out of Copa. Villarreal shouldn't since doing too poor in direct meetings vs top10.

Yes Sevilla will make it 4th irrespective, just had a bad start but looking pretty good now.

Dont think it would be all that big a factor as already been pegged back prior to it.

Real, Barca, Sevilla should make it as better teams with better squads being the biggest factor.

Can see where all teams are by time europe comes back round.

Lol, I've always said Copa is a meaningful trophy. It's the Arabian Supercup that's a travesty. Wolfie's confused as usual.

No, that's only the Arabian Cup. This is the real deal. You should know, you threw a proper bus parade for it.

Comment from last year's Copa thread. Just to clear things out. Now you can go back to ignore.

Good point. It would be great training for the CL match.

Arabian or not, it's a cup and since Barca haven't lifter any since 2019, it's more than 1.5 years after that, it's expected everyone to take it seriously.

Now, I wanna see a convincing win vs Sociedad, and a good game (that might or might not lead to a win) vs Madrid.
Needless to say a win against Madrid in the final will be a huge boost to the morale of this team.
We need that, and we haven't seen a big win against a big opponent for a while
