We do need a starting striker, but none of this is Braithwaite's fault. He is more than qualified for the role he was signed to occupy. Does what is expected from a squad player. Is professional, works his ass off, scores some goals as well.

The fact he is starting so much is the club's fault.

I think when Fati is back that he is the "9". Given that he can get back to form quickly after such injury. Messi as false 9, Dropping to AMC, Pedri moving to AML, Fati going up top.

It is the best setup we can go for without signings this season. Then hopefully next season we move on Griezmann and Coutinho to cut down the salary bloat.

Griezmann and Coutinho are bad fit for Barca and horrible transfers but both of them are 10x the players Martin is. Why are we even debating about Braithweite on barcaforum? :lol:

Regarding Fati, I am not so sure he can play as No.9. Maybe he can, but let's not rush into things. We could easily ruin him by changing his position when he returns. He was superb on the wing so why force him to play something he probably isn't comfortable with.

Even as a back up he is miles off it.

Cant do one single thing a striker should do. It is not his fault he has never been a decent striker at any level close to this his whole career. Doesnt know how to play as one.

Because some members are making up a false narrative that Braithwaite was brought to be something when the reality is different. Nobody says he is starting material, and the fact that he starts many games is not his fault, nor a sign that he is a bad player FOR A SQUAD ROLE.

Some are unpleased he is starting so much and have developed an agenda against him making him look worse than he really is.

The narrative that he was bought to be a back up and is of the standard needed is worse.

How can it be pointing out the last couple games he barely gets in position to shoot, barely connects with other players barely touches ball just be an agenda?

IMHO in the last game we played a seriously beautiful football with Messi, Dembele and Griezmann up front. I sincerely hope we won't change anything for the game against Granada.

Come on, a lot of times he is not even passed to, even when he makes a good run. He knows he's not going to be getting regular service with players looking to set-up Messi all the time (and for good reason), so as long as he runs a lot, presses like crazy, and finishes the easy chances that go his way, he is good enough for me.

Sure, I'd want a squad like Madrid in 2017 with Benzema, Ronaldo and Morata all options at no9. Who wouldn't? The situation is the opposite though.

The same shit that used to get claimed about Semedo when he did not have a clue either... folk are not passing to him.

Every other player has the same issue in Barca team as that and Braithwaite struggles more than any of them to get involved as just doesnt understand how to play it at all.

Unless can try to beat a defender to low ball into box drifts about not knowing where to go.

Players look for Messi too often but it is not the reason Braitwaite is so poor or limiting him to ridiculous 13 touches in a game and 9 passes.

Barca have scored 30 goals in the league and Messi has nine of them.

Other players week after week are getting more shots and touches than Braithwaite and they play with Messi as well.

Also it has not been as bad an issue in recent weeks and team been playing more as a unit and Braithwaite been worse.

New low trying to blame Messi for Braithwaite.

Braithwaite is willing to do the shit job. Make runs. Press. Very ungrateful job. He is just supposed to occupy the villain defenseman with his movement. He creates space for others.

He knows it. He is doing exactly what he is asked. Nobody is expecting him to be prime Suarez or Cavani.

The guy cost whatever sub level player should cost. We have WAY bigger problems than him in our squad.

How about corpses of Pjanic and Busi? Overpaid underachievers like Coutinho and Griezmann. These all four are much bigger problem to us. Braithwaite is what he is. Max. Okay to good sub for Barca, yet people keep bitching about him.
