Would prefer to get at least some money right now for a player who is very unlikely to ever be sold for big money.
Similar deals are better for U20 players who still haven't shown their full potential yet. Mingueza probably is what he is at this stage of his career, I doubt he'll improve much.

Well, he started his first game and played full 90 minutes against Valladolid last night and they've lost 4-1. Didn't watch the game so don't know how he played but not a good sign.
His fortune might change and don't know exactly what other offers he had but I think he went to the wrong club. Don't think he's that bad player and would surely be at least a rotational option in most lower table La Liga teams. It's very hard to get into Coudet's lineups as he doesn't rotate much, has 12-13 players he trusts and doesn't play the others (not even from the bench) unless needed (injuries, suspensions). Pretty much safe to say at this point Mingueza wasn't signed on his request so no surprise Coudet is not playing him. Same can be said about Williot Swedberg who Luis Campos spend 5m on but hasn't played a single minute until now.
