Interesting observation: European NT's of countries that had African colonies are at an advantage. Where would France an Belgium be without?

It definitely helps Spain too in terms of attracting talent from South America AND for example, Ansu Fati is originally from Africa or was born at least.

A lot of immigrants in England these days too.

Sweden's best players have recently be immigrants: Zlatan, Isak.
There are a few exceptions of really homegrown players like Kevin de Bruyne, Lewandowski, Ronaldo, Kimmich, ...
Still, as athletic qualities will be more important in the future, it will help to have more players with African ancestors. Compare US NBA basketball!

KDB, Hazard, Courtois, Mertens are not from the colonies.

From the key players, only Lukaku is.

But what does that matter anyway, go back long enough and we all have roots in other countries...

Very bad observation.
Italy is the most impressive team so far.
Sweden turned good again with Ibrahimovics retirement, they were pretty shit for the years he was captain. Isak has had just a couple of good games for the NT.

ESL no hope in England.
The FA's powers have already considerably increased post Brexit as they now have power over allowing European Union footballers and coaches into the Premier League. And Bullingham says the FA are prepared to stop the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba playing for Manchester United or Kevin De Bruyne and Ruben Dias playing for Manchester City if clubs try to break away again. Mail.

I'm surprised anyone still thinks this is something that will happen. At best maybe it'll morph into a pre-season tournament or something.
