Inb4 Hello and welcome to the final, Real Madrid and Liverpool meet for the 25th time in 10 years live from Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas for the 'European' super league final. 96-year-old Madonna is performing at the half-time show.

The organizers of the Super League have held early discussions to secure a deal with broadcasters, with the likes Amazon, Facebook, Disney, etc. This would raise the annual revenues by ?4B/year - twice the amount earned by the Champions League.
@FT#ESL

Visca Barca, Visca Catalunya.

UEFA and FIFA can suck it.

UEFA and Fifa doing this for the people haha. They used to pocket this money themselves.

Domestic cup and maybe the international friendlies. Remove those and you can slot those 18-23 midweek games just fine. If it becomes a full league , then yes that officially kills the domestic leagues (Most of them are half-dead anyway)

Imo the only league that's really getting affected by this is the EPL with them getting 6 spots with 2 of them not deserving it.
-La Liga: Has been a 2 horse league for 15+ years
-PSG is financially dwarfing the entire league already ,
-Bayernliga enough said
-Seria : Juve is walking that league for 9+ years. And the other club that's about it win is in the ESL as well.

All of them are affected mate. Tons of clubs go bankrupt, travel support is essentially dead because people cant afford to fly weekly to some other country on a midweek workday. National football in generally dies due to lack of involvement and interest.

And the schedule is not supposed to replace internationals and its questionable if players even want that. As you said its for now a CL replacement. Just with 10 more games for every team involved thats already struggling with tight schedules.

These clubs can play their b team in the domestic cups (something which ironically Liverpool was forced to do last year when they had to play the Carabao cup and CWC games last year) and remove the useless International friendlies. Nothing literally changes if what's reported is true

As I said most of the leagues are lopsided anyway. Barca which is in it's worst state for the last 13~ years will easily up third and potentially winning the La liga anyway

BREAKING: All players that play in the European Super League will be banned from playing in the Euros and World Cup. They won’t be able to play for their National Teams, confirmed by UEFA President Ceferin.

Wow.

Can't just scrap a domestic cup and leave domestic federations to sustain themselves off league only. They already schedule more friendlies to scramble up more money and sold the Supercup abroad.

They will play their B-teams in the domestic leagues aswell, mate. That's the point.
Cup already irrelevant, League next.

Where is it saying there that they plan to block their players off internationals? Looks like that shit will still happen unless FIFA themselves block it. So its even more games.

Good.

Hopefully, International football dies too.

Check my last post. You can't scrap them but the clubs participating in the ESL can just field their B team.

There is no reason for leagues to become less relevant than are now.. if have chance to win it.

No chance play their B teams in domestic leagues.

Based on what will these club play their B in domestic leagues ?? You think players will be fine with playing 18-23 games a season or what ?

I mean even if that's true , in your case Bayern will still win the league :coffee:

Breakway intl tournaments would be next and doubt FIFA run a WC with top players banned.
