Perez and Agnelli did sodall towards that and got met by government response as should.

Not a single thought given towards playing massive games midweek and expecting fans to turn up and travel across Europe 9 times during group stage alone.

Not an ounce a plan for Europa level comps, qualifications or progression.

No detail provided how Super League sides balance domestic comp with European comp considering Super League in 20 team format means 18(+-knockout games) fixtures in addition to domestic 38. Which just leads to conclusion they really plan to exit them. Which would be a domino of cash flow issues for domestic promotion.

And that's without going into how they plan to work around the international football this would kill considering UEFA structures would get shattered.

Nowhere near a good idea in how been proposed.
And Perez has to move fast with the 2.0 to avoid EPL becoming too big to end up not wanting to be part of it, and getting too old himself to make it happen.
-> fans are rather irrelevant in all this. TV money is what's at stake, and if Superleague can bring more they wouldn't give a damn about travelling fans
    -> There won't be a 20-team league plus knockouts.
Either there will be only a proper league (the real 'super-league'!)
Or there will be 2 groups of 10 for 9 group games for each + the usual knockouts starting R16
From the leaks so far the latter is on their minds

(IMO, the former will be a real revolution. The latter is soft, rather than a revolution. Keeps the same format in games that matter, and just gets rid of the boring CL group games between David and Goliath - which is good IMO but not enough)

-> They couldn't care less about international football. Everything will revolve around the biggest club competition, which will be the SuperLEague from now on, and everything will rather adjust to that rather than the other way round

In general (question to all who are skeptical about it):
Do you watch any basketball? Originally, there was a big war and a divide between FIBA and the Euroleague contracted clubs, and after a while the clubs won.
The definite change, though, IMO happened when they adopted the league format with only 16 teams and stopped inviting many other teams (the first many years the format was similar to the old FIBA European cup with 24 teams or so)
Did it happen for better or worse?

IMO it's much better now, the best teams play against each other many times, but the product is upgraded rather than the opposite.
Problem there is the 'licensed/contracted clubs for life' thing which kills the hopes of a small club to become big, and which part supposedly Perez and Annielli took back in their SuperLeague plans

Didn't say they are, in regard implementing
It's a simple matter of fact they gave no thought to the impact of calendar changes they proposed

    -> There won't be a 20-team league plus knockouts.
Didn't say there would be, said rather clearly 38 league + 18 super league (home and away in a 10-team group stage) + knockouts

Which anyone I think can see is unfeasible long-term for several reasons.
And thus you can only be left with a conclusion Perez doesn't care about domestic leagues contrary to what he claims and has not suggested a plan for progression or the fate of subsidiary competitions even if you were to assume at some point they'd make a Super League B or Super League C. Just a half-baked plan that had no right to be taken seriously

-> They couldn't care less about international football. Everything will revolve around the biggest club competition, which will be the SuperLEague from now on, and everything will rather adjust to that rather than the other way round
    Obviously
    Hence it's a problem
And UEFA overseeing the European international calendar and working with FIFA + taking care of cash flow for international development, the responsibility and duty would fall on Super League to sort it out. So far they've done sodall

    Not interested in basketball

I'm interested in the practical problems their plan proposed as presented, which they offered no solution to

Galliani out there claiming Super League makes sense if Premier League is left out mimicking Brexit circumstances lol

Pieces of the puzzle coming together

EPL teams were always going to be included though and I doubt a dinosaur like Galliani has any knowledge about any of the conversations going on regarding the project.

It's obviously going to happen in the near future, with or without PL teams. (I believe with as most were on board the first time only for fan backlash)

Could have had a Euro Super League on top of the continental national leagues in the pyramid to have a high money alternative to the EPL. The income wouldn't be as high as a SL with EPL sides ofc, but much higher than what Serie A, LaLiga and the likes do in isolation.

This is better than the SL in a way as it doesnt oppose the CL.

But now with all the CVC deals and clubs tied in it is almost impossible

I don't think the ESL will ever become that big and bring in the kind of money they wanted without the EPL teams. If not, it sorts of defeats the purpose, or one of the big purposes.

The EPL is a microcosm of the financial structure of the EU and UK, and why the EU become a trading block in the first place. It would only be the nature of growth for the football system to follow it. The only thing holding it back are old structures and those holding onto the financial benefits of the domestic pedigree.

Seen some news in the chat that one reason for Real not spending much beside the planned parts is because they’re preparing an emergency relief fund of 780M euros in case the Super League court case is lost and penalties to clubs committed to breakaway are incurred, i.e. 3 year UCL ban

If true, Barca are screwed. Going to need many more levers.

That has to be BS. They thought Mbappe was coming and later they were chasing Haaland, even though they wouldn't have spent much on those players in terms of the transfer fee (Mbappe was free and Haaland was like only what, 65m?) but the sign-on bonus and wages etc. would be quite hefty.

Looking at what 2Playbook reported, it is simply a case of Florentino being prudent and smart and trying to weather the storm, in the era of depressed revenues before the new Bernabeu comes.
