Ilias is 17 year old who literally just came from Juvenil A this season and has barely even played with Barca B, the criticism I'm seeing here is not fair. Abde is 20 next month and looks like a grown man lol. I don't think there is a big comparison between the two. Not everyone is like Gavi that can play well at 17.

Potential wise Illias might have better potential than Abde, but atm we need to get some wins and it seems Abde has more qualities for that.
Illias will have the chance to prove it is a bad start, just like Abde/Nico did before him

I always find it funny when people over analyze the debut of a youngster, give it a few games at least.
The physical jump from u19 football to Liga is massive, not forgetting the quality also. You need a period of adjustment for that. He has barely played with Barca B then thrown as a starter in a Liga game spontaneously, it's not a great situation for a 17yo.
Also, at 17-21 is when your body is filling out and you're maturing. You can clearly see he looks like a kid. For now the physical burden is going to be tough on him. I would judge him after a few months with the first team/Barca B when he is more adapted to see if he should stay.
Exactly but again the OP has a preposterous sense of assessing talent. The physical aspects are the least concerning from Ilias atm, IMHO - he simply lacked aggression to attack or take his man on. Fati, Konrad & Perez are cases in point of a wide player not requiring the physique of say Adama, all of whom transitioned easily to senior football. Pedro & Jeffren, neither of whom were physical players but constantly attacked. All you have to do is rewatch his performance and see how rarely he attempted to take his marker on - contrast that with Abde who has the ideal profile of a Barca winger, never failing to be direct
Hopefully it will come for the younger Moroccan but right now, there's no question who can provide more to Xavi & the team

But why should he get more games? IMO, the very young players (talking 18-19 here) who need to get more games are players who surprise you in a big way very early. Like Pedri, Gavi, and Fati did.
He showed big nerves, and this is a sign that he's not ready now to play more. That other kid showed a flamboyance and a nerve that may warrant more time in next few games.

Because not everyone makes that immediate impact, I'm not saying he should be getting games in the same way as those you mentioned, but not everyone follows the same development path, the way some jump to conclusions based on 45 minutes doesn't make sense.
He may never be good enough, if I were to guess I would say he won't be, but that's just based on odds not what he showed yesterday.
I get you, but he has to show at least more than that other kid. As it stands, it's Abde that should get those minutes. And even he is not good enough to start for us (exceptions are desperate situations where we have no one else lol).
And let's not forget that Dest is basically very young as well. He could play RW as well.
Yea I agree abde definitely should more in his 45 minutes & showed he deserves more game time.
I think you should reread the posts I made and work out what it is you actually disagree with. Damn, all this hostility because I said Sterling is a good player? Would have never said anything if I knew our fans hated him so much.
My whole point on Ilias is you like many others have only watched 45 minutes of him, where he was started in a Liga game instantly coming up from u19/ a bit of Barca B which is a hard jump. It is foolish to make an assumption on a 17 year old's potential when you have only seen them in one tough half of football.
I would remind you Perez and Konrad are on the bench in their mid table clubs and that Fati, from what we've seen, is a specialist in finishing, not dribbling and quickness.

Don't think kid is ready for 1st team minutes yet
Obviously he is playing out of necessity, but will hope he goes back to Barca B once squad is healthy

I thought he had a good game actually, and definitely in terms of statistics.
I don't see much in him so far... Very similar to Demir. Raw kids who belong at a junior level still.
