Wasted a lot, but if you look at it from the bright side, at least he's getting into lots of scoring positions. Think he'll start next game again.

Was lacking finishing, but involved a lot and creating stuff for others and himself, while also defending well. Don't see the hubbub. Neymar was worse.

Arsenal and Man Utd fans coming together to agree Gabriel Jesus, Martinelli and Antony all deserve to start over Raphinha

They won't start over him. Raphinha brings something different as he is a good playmaker who doesn't always need the ball at his feet, is responsible defensively and has good workrate. Plus the manager seems to like him.

But, could see Brazil go with a formation that has an extra midfielder like Fred or Bruno for future games.

A midfielder might cause Raphinha to he dropped, not another forward.

You're welcome
Should really just work on his finishing. Also made one really bad precision to not pass ball to Neymar who was in better scoring positions. Other than that, thought he looked solid and producing lot of danger.

Excellent smart player, but his finishing is just bad. He's more likely to score a 30m thunderbolt screamer than finish a 1 vs 1. Which is a big problem.

However some of the qualities he has are immense right now in football. Tremendous tactical discipline, workrate, like he never gets tired, and is a defensive beast as far as wingers are concerned. Workhorse in defense and the mentality is top notch. Talent is not really high though.

Someone said about him not working out at AM. He'd be like the perfect Atletico Madrid or Juventus player.

If he doesn't work out though, I think we could sell him on without much problems. Plenty of counter attack teams would love a player like him. The worry is in positional football, which we play above all else, and require players that can dribble in short spaces and finish their chances.

Against a top defensive team, you don't get many clear chances, and the ones you do you have to finish.

It's not like all the other attackers were super productive. Vinicius was involved in both goals, but also just lucky (rebound and individual wondergoal after his pass) and made a lot of blunders. Neymar was average at best and loosing lots of balls. The subs were looking good, but didn't create or score just like him. Richard was having his game of career, way above his usual standard. So calma. It's obvious he perfectly fits Tites scheme and is all around great player. Better than under Xavi for sure.

Its clear why he's the first choice for current Brazil team, Anthony has been ineffective and doesn't seem to be able to get past the Cameroun lb.

Impressed with Martinelli though

Players don't usually beat opponents 1 vs 1, and when they do, it's nearly impossible to beat the 2nd defender if you're not an all time great. Raphinha is easily Brazil's best winger after Vinicius, considering that Neymar is the no10 these days.

The only 1 vs 1 monsters in the world right now are Mbappe and Vinicius, and partly Dembele, although Dembele beats his man only to cross, not to score like Mbappe and Vinicius do often.

Raphinha and Martinelli are so much better than Antony, who reminds me of Sancho 2.0 with his passiveness with a useless trick here or there.

Can Martinelli play on the right? if so, he should probably start with Vini jr.

I have seen him out there for a few minutes but he is far better on the left - Raphinha on the right is perfect
