They deny contact at Liverpool's end but I think we must have agreement with the player because there's a lot of talk

The Bartominator way. Make a deal with a player tell him to stop showing at training then negotiate with the club.

another player that klopp turned into a world beater with his system and way of playing. from relegating with newcastle to champions league winner. the likes of henderson, milner or coutinho should know all about it.

the main problem would be that he is 30 and looking after a last big paycheck in competitive football. would have been a good rotation option if he was 3-4 years younger.

He was by far Newcastles best player and likes of Robertson was relegated from league also.

Also been very good for Feyenoord/PSV and Netherlands so not all about Klopp.

Decent player and 6 months older than Thiago with better injury record when most seem to have no issue signing him.

No world beater but would provide some of things team lacks. Midfield will be a lot better next season and should be focal point of team again.

He was Newcastle's best player and stop scorer, prior to that was captain of PSV. Definitely was no scrub before Klopp managed him.

One thing important to think about is the fact that he plays more advanced for the Dutch NT. Almost like a CAM at times. It's actually Frenkie and M. de Roon who often plays in a double pivot.

Seen some Liverpool fans claim he's not being used to his best ability playing deeper which is what I'm assuming Koeman is planning to do here for some reason. Otherwise none of this makes any sense because what the fuck are you gonna do with Griezmann, Coutinho and Wijnaldum, three players who want to play behind a striker, or does their best playing that way making runs to the box.

In fact his role for the Dutch NT is similar to Donny in ten Hag's 4-2-1-3/4-2-3-1 setup.

Could be that Koeman is envisioning a big game lineup of ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Lenglet, Alba; Frenkie, Pjanic; Dembele, Wijnaldum, Ansu/Trincao/Memphis?; Griezmann

Could be that the board is learning from previous mistakes and showing humility in these matters now. Not done until it's done

I don't know why he chose MD as the source to follow when literally everyone else is saying the signing is imminent. MD has been a terrible source since the neymar saga.

1) There is no single indication Liverpool want to sell him. If you read the Liverpool reporters you will see that.
Some rumors are spread quite extensively and rapidly by the rumor mill.
Same with Liverpool wanting Thiago. Read the Liverpool reporters: Thiago is not an active target at the moment.
It's clear that the rumor mill wants to involve Liverpool, when most likely they will not get involved in any major transfer (in or out) this summer.
Koeman maybe likes him, but that's all. Far from happening

2) Koeman wants to play 4-2-3-1, but I don't think he will emulate exactly the Netherlands NT 's personnel in the 4-2-3-1, given that Griezman will most likely play in the center of the 3.
Lautaro will get bought, that's almost certain unless vote of no confidence removes Barto before it happens.
