This happened a week ago but since it wasn't mentioned yet.

Two days after their promotion Elche have decided not to keep their coach Pacheta who has led them from Segunda B to La Liga in three years. They've replaced him with Jorge Almiron. His agent is Christian Bragarnik who is also Elche owner. Bragarnik also represent more than hundred Argentinian/South American players with Dario Benedetto (Marseille) probably being the most known among them. Will be interesting to see what his plans are be but there were already rumours he wants to bring a few of "his players" to Elche.

Previously there were also rumours about Maradona (who is also represented by Bragarnik) to become Elche's new coach but in the end Bragarnik has decided for Almiron who has won Argentinian league with Lanus in 2016 and also led them to Copa Libertadores final a year later. In 2017 he was also on the verge to sign with Las Palmas but RFEF denied him permission to coach in Spain because he lacked the minimum of five years of experience in top-flight teams so this will be his first coaching experience in Europe after he has previously managed in Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and in Saudi Arabia last year.

Well, Barca will stay competitive in la liga this season at least, as Messi will conjure up wins out of the blue like he usually does.

So, we have to keep our focus if we want to defend the title, Barca will get above 80 points now im pretty sure.

The last time they opened with Elche was 2014. 3-0 victory, Messi playing oustanding and scoring a brace, black cat running on the pitch and winning at the end of the season the triple :p

Villarato!
Players in general get to play more. For better or worse, playing time is how players develop and Spain are playing catchup with England and France recently. Italy should follow in the same mold too IMO, their talent pool was shite for a decade if not longer.

5 subs is nice to have! Let's hope our new manager uses them, unlike Setien.
If games are to be played every 3 days it's impossible to do it wi 3 subs imo.

So La Liga won't start tomorrow but on Saturday... The same for Segunda.

Before the Resolution of the RFEF Competition Judge, LaLiga announces its firm intention to request, in addition to others, provisional measures from the CSD for Day 2.

Even so, for Day 1 and in order to avoid irreparable sports damage to the clubs affected by this nonsense of the RFEF, LaLiga sets the following dates and times of the matches initially scheduled for Friday and Monday of this first Day:

Granada CF -Athletic Club, on Saturday 12 at 6:30 p.m.

D. Alav?s- Real Betis, on Sunday the 13th at 2:00 p.m.

CD Legan?s- UD Las Palmas, on Saturday 12 at 6:15 p.m.

CD Mirand?s- AD Alcorc?n, on Sunday the 13th at 6:15 p.m.
