Yes, teams like to keep a high line and press hard. This leaves them open especially on bad days. Liverpool had Gomez and Adrian in goal so bad start there.
Also a team that constantly presses is bound to burn out after 2-3 seasons. It's only natural. The players are not machines.
Another problem is the lack of quality defenders. CBS nowadays are average and most full backs are basically converted wingers. This is why we are getting these scores.

Then you have the obsession with playing it short from the back, which leads to very dangerous situation when it goes wrong.

I dont mind playing it out short, but if the opposition got you pinned down, nothing wrong with going long.

The pressure and pressing from both teams in key areas is pretty great. Neither side is able to pass inside well due to very closed spaces.

One of those games which are ugly for the casual fans, but under the surface it's a great tactical battle between two amazing managers. Like some ugly intense Clasicos between Barca and Madrid under Mourinho.
