Barcelonas style (Pep era) is probably better than Klopps style.
But Klopps style is miles better than Barcelonas 2014-2021 "style", he has built a coherent team based on who are the best pressers, basically the same idea as Peps, but opposite.

Very nice to watch City today, most players in the right space in the right time, acting together, playing mostly obvious passes, totally dominating.
What players in current City team would add something to Barcelona? Not so many I'd say, still they play so extremely much better.

The offside rule hasn't changed. If the attacker is closer to the goalline than the defender, it's offside. It's a good rule.
All that changed was that 5 years ago refs were barely able to see it in real time.
