Good points, but one thing that needs to be mentioned are the cultural differences between the nations of the two clubs. Your board has always quickly recognized mishaps and tried their best to correct them. Our board and in general, Catalan culture, are not as proactive as German. The club would need to be doing terribly domestically too for the board and the catalan fans to wake up. Even a humiliation like this will be forgotten by the city in a month or two. You Germans are very quick to recognize these type of things, while the Catalans are a lot more laidback and just go with the flow until shit really hits the fan.

I also believe our board highly values marketing a lot more than yours. As long as Messi, Pique, and other famous players can be the face of the club then all is good. At the end that's what sells shirts and brings in sponsors. They are valuing this aspect of the club far more than sporting achievements nowadays. The phrase "mes que un club" has been turned upside down by our current board.

The Barca locals never used to be known for being happy clappers. It was white hankies at every bad run.

Just picking this post up as an example but it's kinda funny how much credit Bayern get's here now compared to what heard i from my friends or read on the German forum for years :D

Their board got so much shit these past years for not replacing Robben/Ribery adequately, not even having other wingers available at times despite how injury prone they always were. Buying players who aren't good enough for elite level just to be cheap or because they're german/from the BL, keeping their very own amigo M?ller around massively overpaying him and playing him only based on past achievements, being clueless when it comes to coaches going from Pep to Ancelotti to Kovac, hiring a nobody in Salihamidzic as sporting director not getting shit done, saying dumb stuff in interviews and acting unprofessional, even Lewandowski got his fair share of criticism etc.

Not saying i agree with all of that but it's crazy how similar fans react sometimes and how different perspectives can be, or rather how fast they can change just because of one decision (Flick) working out better than expected. Less than a year ago it looked like Bayern was in shambles and now everything clicks again and suddenly they are the perfect example of how to handle a rebuild.

Let's hope Barca can have an happy end for this shitty situation as well, even though it's a bit harder due to age/finances.

Holy shit, they're just standing there looking at 4!, 4 fukin Bayern players in our box. Where the fuk is the man coverage? Muller (or is that lewandowski who scored that?) could've easily passed to the other two players in the foreground for a goal. Embarrassing.
