Barca have better players than Benfica and they dont have 'more experience' in CL or high level that is nonsense.

Barca have players that have won CL, La Liga, Europa League, been voted best mid in europe at major tournament, best midfielder in Europe, Balon Dor, Brazil intls.

The absolute shite that claims about the 'experience' of this Barca squad is form usual folk and for usual reasons.. Xavi.

Barca have much more experienced players at a high level than Benfica currently do and its not even close.

Dont agree. Despite the CL results would fancy Barca to beat them and likes of PSG to beat them if met again.

Frankfurt and Rangers went further than Barca last season.. they were not better sides.

Tbqh would back Frankfurt to beat Barca again quite confidently.

Barca features the far better players than either side but having the worse manager equals it out.

Benfica is slightly better now in a tie, due to having players with more experience. Although with full teams available, it is close to a 50-50.

I think the players we have have plenty more experience than they do at higher levels. Most of our players are established internationals and have won important titles, even our bench players like Kessie and Christensen have won Serie A and CL etc.

Also are much better ability wise too.

I will not comment on experience as it irrelevant to the point. Benfica trashed us 3-0 last season and played as an equal against psg for two legs.
The would probably beat us again. All evidence points to this.

Half of our starting 11 or even more is made of kids or young players who are like in their first or second full season as main pieces of the team. Most of them haven't won even a league title, like Pedri, Gavi, Garcia, Balde, Ansu, Araujo, Kounde, Ferran.

Kessie is terrible so far and Christensen was a bench player at Chelsea and most of the time he is injured anyway.

Our team is lacking big time in mature players that are quality, in the 25-28 range, players at their peak. Also in veteran area, the only one playing top CL stuff is Lewa, the rest are done and have PTSD from previous humiliations.

Surely I can't be the only one who thinks Gavi, Pedri, Ansu, and the rest of the youngsters are too raw for big CL ties right now. Should be fairly clear as we have seen it with our own eyes, that outside of La Liga, they struggle with the intensity and the pressure of a big CL game. Experience comes in time and by building confidence with a La Liga title for example. That would do wonders for these young players.

Usual nonsense.

There is much more experience in the Barca team this year of top level European and international football than in Benficas and it iisnt even close.

Usual. Bizarrre claim and mental gymnastics with a point made as Xavi is the coach.

It is not even remotely close Barca has the more top level experience by far.

Go for it and compare the 'experience' of Benficas starting eleven in CL this season and Barcas..

Then the excuses about 'experience does not count if players dont play well'. That is irrelevent.

Barca lost to Inter with CL winning GK and three CL winning defenders and a Spanish international, missing was a French intl Euorpa League winner, Danish CL winner and a Spanish CL winner.

In midfield had Pedri who has been best midfielder at a Euros and voted best young player in world and a multiple CL winner. On bench was a Serie A winner Ivory Coast intl and a Dutch intl voted best midfielder in Europe at one point due to his performances and Barca player of year a couple years back.

Up top was a La Liga winning French winger, a Bundesliga CL/Balondor winner and a current Brazil international. On the bench was a EPL winning Spanish intl previously names as Spains player of year. Outwith that not in squad that day is a Dutch intl striker on way to being their all time top scorer.

But aye lets ignore all that 'experience' as there are a few young players as.

Benfica dont get near that 'experience' in their squad.
