That it didn't end earlier is a mystery
Time properly wasted

Behave, three

Let's hope I'm wrong and the call up is worth the hassle

But it ended when he signed for Barca..so not quite the bias there. Infact he opposite if claiming where players play when called up is a factor due to Luchos bias.

He picks inferior players due to them simply playing for Barca?

No chance.

Inferior is argumentative. He picks the players that mold to his style, and he is a Barca-made manager, so his style is obviously closer to Barca's school of football.

But who they play for is not relevant so not a Barca bias.

If there was a group of the same players playing together at another Spanish club in same style, ability etc it would be same situation.

Barca happen to have more of players of type he prefers is different than claiming he is biased to Barca players that are inferior which as been the claim.

His 'bias' if want to call it that is one that every coach will have in terms of what type of player they prefer. So nothing different from him or any other coach.

Dont think you can cite I attributed that one to anything specific, other than his personal preference maybe
Which is a weird one to have when you got players doing better at the time and in general better overall than Alonso was
Not even weird he got dropped when looks only any good for CB these days

Him peferring Alonso over other player shows how some coaches prefer players for reasons other than clubs they play for. Had he been at Barca at time this would have neen used as further evidence of bias for that reason when clearly wasnt.

How is it you think Luchos Barca bias has seen him put hurdles in place of certain players who deserve to be there on ability? What did he used to do that he is 'no longer hiding anymore'?

Gaya is more defensive, strong type of LB.

Spain has too many LB to pick from tbf, but would argue that, while many are better, Balde and Galan are the best 2 to fit the Gaya's type.

If it was Alba who got injured, I would say Lucho would have picked someone else.

Since Grimaldo left the B team and went to Benfica, Spain has had Five different coaches such as Del Bosque, Lopetegui, Hierro, Lucho, and Moreno. Granted Del Bosque was at the end of his reign in 2016 but it still left plenty of time for his successors to look over the LB options they had and all of them never considered Grimaldo a serious option for the National team setup. Often going for the likes of Alba, Gaya, Alonso, and Monreal instead.

Back in 2015, there were rumors Lucho wanted to send Grimaldo on loan to Levante to see how he would fair but Grimaldo rejected which eventually led him to leave Midseason for Benfica. But all that shit was nearly 8 years ago, and I highly doubt Lucho even used that in consideration into not calling Grimaldo up.

Lucho loves versatility which likely played a part in Balde being called up as he's shown to be pretty adept at RB so far along with his natural position LB. A different profile to the likes of Alba.

Grimaldo was obviously overhyped, he is really average.

Good technique, but average at every aspect of the game. Thats way he only played in Benfica, while some predicted he will be first option in Barca or City.

Let me know when Barcelona wins a group Vs PSG and Juventus.

Right now, Benfica is better. No shame in it. They play good football.

Dont agree. Despite the CL results would fancy Barca to beat them and likes of PSG to beat them if met again.

Frankfurt and Rangers went further than Barca last season.. they were not better sides.
