Barcelona management (and apparently some fans) lacking basic respect
He is getting exactly what he agreed when he signed. And contrary to current management (and apparently some fans) they are not having the minumum decency to respect that. He has behaved in a proper and respectful way throughout his entire tenure at Barca. Has been one of the few who clearly has fought his ass off when getting the chance. And he is being repaid with Boo's ?! Shame on those (not true) Barca fans.

Of course his hope of ever playing for us is gone. Not sure you can exclude him from trainings though. Maybe if he misbehaves.

Well said. Barca has spent several hundred million on new attackers this year and now they're trying to get a player forced out of the squad by all these expensive new signings to make a financial sacrifice because the club needs money.
Such a toxic atmosphere isn't good for Braithwaite though. I'd like to see him move to MLS now. NYCFC just lost their striker to Girona for example so somewhere like that would be a good fit. Of course, Braith should also hold firm and get Barca to pay out the difference in salary so he still gets the same wage he would by staying.

The player is not good enough. This is how successful football clubs roll. They improve positions and try to move the players that aren't good enough, while replacing them with better quality.
Players usually accept this, but the problem is Barcelona signed too many bums that would gladly stay in the stands than go to a team that is more fitting for their level.
Look at Depay case. He realized he wouldn't play anymore with the transfers we made, he moved to another team where he could play, despite the fact that he had one more year contract with Barcelona.
Ultimately, Barca is to blame, but not because we try to get rid of extremely poor cost-benefit ratio players, but because we signed these very low value types on bad contracts for the club.

Braithwaite is 31, the best financial option for him is to stay and get his money especially if the wage offer he's getting from other teams is low. We can always loan him out and pay part of his wages as that happens when players don't wanna leave or lose their wage. I think that's what would happen finally

Man fuck that... We now have 6 forwards ahead of him, the 'worst' of those 6 is still three times the player Braithwaite could ever be. Everybody and their mother is telling Braithwaite he will not get a single minute, he will not even make the bench - so what if he has a contract, he is still a footballer and should have some pride and leave for a club where he can play. IF he decides to stay anyway he is simply cashing in and fucking us over - than fuck him.
