Perfect "easy" match before the trip to Napoli.

Is there easy matches? We win all games by one goal these days. Hah.

Btw. I would risk and rest Messi. We need fresh Messi vs Napoli. It would be disaster playing him 90min here and other starters. We need to risk here and go with more backups. (Whoever we have left)

We've had 2 games in 14 days before Napoli, so fatigue shouldn't be an issue. It's rather the risk of injury where the most important ones are Ansu, Griezmann and Messi, that we should rest.

Could see a 2-striker formation with Messi and Griezmann starting and Messi taken off in the second half.

Messi needs to play 90 mins, no reason to risk anything. He can walk at the beginning of the game and in the end when we are leading, that should be enough rest.
Play Sergi Roberto in the front three with Griezmann who is pretty much tireless. Add Vidal in midfield and that should be enough offensive presence to score a couple and win the game comfortably.
Would like a penalty goal for Leo to give him some practice and confidence in that department. Eager to see another free kick goal too.

Anyway, no matter who plays, we need a good performance. Lethal like we were against Getafe in the first half and total control in the 2nd half without constant simple mistakes that bring the opponent back into the game. Would be the next step under Setien.

And why would that be? This forum was so adamant that we have a top 3 squad that is held back by a few factors but every forum wish has come true this season and those factors are all erased now.

1. Donkey Suarez replaced by hardworking, clean touch Griezmann.

2. Rakitic banned to a bench role.

3. Resultista Valverde booted, replaced by Cruyff's holy son himself Setien.

What "state" is this? Surely it can't be about Démbéle's injury as he has played no role for 2 years now.

More than enough time for Xavithur to get match fit as well. Also have best CL midfielder De Jong compared to last season.

So all should be fine for the [strike]treble[/strike] double. Why are the standards and expectations lowered suddenly? Weird, weird.

You are confusing something, as far as i remember, important thing is to play beautiful game, results are not as important.

If we win this game there's a good chance we stay top after this round of matches.

Madrid are looking iffy. Levante could beat them and they have City to worry about.

Misinformation.

Firstly, the guys who didn't rate Suarez and the guys who wanted EV out are not one and the same group. Many guys who wanted EV out still rated Suarez highly and still do. I'm one of them for example. This doesn't mean that Suarez doesn't need to be replaced. He does, but until he is replaced properly, he's still a very useful and proficient scorer. As he's proven this by scoring big goals vs top teams in La Liga, especially away, where we have a serious problem this season.

Secondly, many of the players we wanted to see more of during the time of Valverde were sold or loaned. Malcom, Alena, Todibo for instance. Players who showed serious potential and were mistreated by the manager. Dembele who should've benefited from this change in style is out for the season.

This is exactly the type of post you guys get abuse for on many occasions around here. Just ignorant misinformation without respect for any sort of fairness or logic.

What do you mean lowered? Who had the expectation that Barca would win cl at the start of the season?
The only expectation was to not get dominated, outplayed, outpassed and outshot by teams like Levante and Slavia.

Resultista EV would be apt if he'd gotten us a result when Suarez/Messi went missing at Rome or Anfield.

Did he do that? Seeing a game out when his stars go missing? No.
