There's not that many way you can skin the cat of a possession based 433.

But LE is playing way more to the strength of the 11 he puts out. Ok Gavi so far is also pushing up to the forward line, and Busquets is doing his best attempts to play for the Japan team, but the midfield in general are more involved than Charveys.

Absolute rubbish. Spain also deploy wingers very wide to stretch the field. Ferran for Spain is exactly the same Ferran for Barcelona for example. No difference. The brother of Inaki is used exactly like Barca use Dembele. To a T.

The only reason Spain look better is because the pace of games is far less intense and sped-up compared to what you get in CL in club football.

Say, if every team in CL would be forced to play at a 50% reduced pace, Barca would win CL 7 times out of 10 and Busi would be the best DM in the world. Amigo Barca always was a technically brilliant team, just lazy, slow, and washed up.

It's just so that in CL those are key attributes that you just can't survive without. You can't approach CL and aim to win it with slow, old, and lazy players. The margins are so small, that you have to go in 100% every time. Barca didn't give 100% effort-wise in a CL tie since Pep days. Even the MSN Barca was a bit lazy and unfocused, just too talented at their best to cope with.

Only now we're seeing close to 100% commitment, but the team is, this time, lacking some quality and experience.

Sooooo bad.

Williams playing like Dembele? Noo
Torres comparison also a no.

They don't play exactly like Barcelona for reasons I already stated, you were just pulling a lazy comparison.

Xavi's team is far more direct & play a more traditional form of football compared to what Enrique is trying to do with Spain.

Pedri, Gavi, busquets, Alba, Balde, Ferran, Fati.
All lines of Spanish NT have at least a Barca player at any given time.
The midfield that is the most important for the team is 100% Barca. The coach was a Barca player and manager.
Of course they play similar to Barca, it's weird to think otherwise.
But, we also have Dembele and Rafinha, who both give a whole different dimension on the wingplay Barca can employee and of course lewa who is also capable of different things than Morata.
Other than that pretty much the same sterile, slow possession, no through balls, no vertical penetration football.

Morata gets a lot of smack on here, but he is also scoring for Spain, something Raphinha or Dumbele seem incapable of doing for their respective national teams. And believe me when I say that I really like Raphinha. I swear though, Dembele cannot shoot and score. Okay, he?s good at passing his marker, but that is predictable, and even segunda teams can defend against predictability.

Someone said that it is not a wingers job to score. Of course it is. Dude is on 17m per year. He should be scoring like Mbappe, who oftentimes occupies the wing too.

anyway, back to Pedri, who does shit on the field most players only dream of doing at his age or at any age. Sometimes people do not realize just how lucky we are to have him and De Jong.

True, watching Spain play makes me appreciate Dembele more, especially the new and improved version that makes good decisions regularly. Been harsh of him, for good reason, but his recent level is key for us. Xavi and Laporta must find a way to keep him.

Too bad Dembele and Raphinha are both excellent on RW. They would match so well otherwise, much like how it is for Brazil with Vinicius on LW.

Spain needed more of his back passes, he was not involving Laporte and Rodri enough.Too many sideway passes, ther was even one pass where he tried to find forward, crazy stuff.

Our youth players according to Whoscored stats.

World cup matches with Germany, Japan and Morocco:
Pedri: 301 minutes, 2 key passes, 0 shots
Gavi: 197 minutes, 0 key passes, 0 shots, 428 random fouls on everyone

500 minutes combined, 2 key passes (1 pass in 250 minutes, which is around 1 pass in 3 matches) and 0 shots.
Looks promising, we should build a team around these two.

Since Pedri is our leader, we managed to break the record of 2 consecutive CL group stage KOs with one of the most expensive squads in the world.

Yeah, blame it all on Pedri and Gavi when both Barca and Spain are still building their systems around that dinosaur.
