For Coutinho to score two goals as a loanee against his parent club in CL quarter final, has to rate as one of the unbelievable things that happen in football. That and the prices paid at the time to sign him and others.
There needs to be a new set of rules for club owners, not FFP but idiots guide in how to run a club, written by the fans.

Also cap on what team can spend based on their income. It would kill billionairs in this game.

That may be approved by UEFA and CAS but would it pass scrutiny when appealed to in the civil courts? A cap on wages would appear to be the better way. This has worked in Rugby within Europe. It also ensures that the finances of owners are largely kept within the game.

Brendan Rodgers’ best signing when he was Liverpool manager.

An 8.5 million signing from Inter Milan, Coutinho joined with a growing reputation after some impressive performances in Serie A, and previously Vasco de Gama in Brazil.

Coutinho found his first-team prospects limited at Inter, and Liverpool took a gamble on the midfielder in January 2013.

Rogers now manager of Leicester.
