Lot to do with his injury concerns and outrageous wage demands from his agent.

Stays healthy and maintains his 2nd half of last season's form and lad is easily a 100m player.

That clause activates only if the release clause is met. We could just sell him for 90 and keep all the money, easy solution if he ever becomes worth that amount and doesn't want to renew.

Daaaamnn....he has his eyes set on leaving then. Probably some shady gentleman's agreement with PSG to go for him if he improves steadily this year.
It is a great clause for him as it will motivate him extra to become world class.

And if they really had these confidential details about his contract they would have outright leaked it like Der Spiegel did.

That doesn't sound much like a 40% pay cut that the media claimed.\

40% was obviously bullshit even if funny at the time. Was a one time rumour which didn't even pick up.

Seeing articles Dembele was on 11m net sans variables before extending.

Don't know if variables are easily achievable or not. But it's Sport.

Yeah, Alemany has great PR though. Most clubs' seemingly successful executives have similar treatment by the fans.

By easy to achievable bonus you mean playing a number of games which isn't easy cause he's injured all the time
