Not really. Really good in the first few games but pretty much invisible or bad during the biggest games in the KO stage. Which is par for the course for Dembele. He'll do well against an Australia or Levante, but against Argentina, Morocco, or say Bayern in a big game...he's useless. Looks like you really can't rely on the lad to cross the finish line for you.

Pretty much, a top player, but a level lower of the world-class quality needed for the best teams in the world.

True, but in his defense, I am going to say something crazy, even the great Mbappe (certainly on a higher level than Dembele) had been underwhelming in the biggest games during the KO stage, save those clutch goals of course (which can't be taken away from him). Overall Dembele didn't stand out being too poor compared to most other French players.

Don't think so, he seemed to be nervous and mentally checked out from this game. Nerves got to him.
