Sporting will only sell if the release clause is met. Nothing is done yet. If it will be, time to make Kounde permanent RB and just get Arnau Martinez this summer as his backup. Get Ndicka on a free or some other good CB instead of one more RB.

We will need a RB who can attack some, Arnau and Kounde together is a tough bill to swallow

Not if Balde is bombing ahead on the other side. You need some balance in your full back area, even Arsenal do it with White and Zinchenko, and it seems Xavi likes his inverted (more defensive) RB the same as Arteta.

Porro is not the only decent RB out there. I'm sure our scouts are working on a cheap stopgap solution.

Even if Balde bombing on other side you need an option on RB that can actually make a decent cross, that is why Roberto is still important to Xavi till now.
Starting RB will be defensive inverted FB, yeah, but his back up shouldn't be.

I thought he had a 50m buyout and Sporting had accepted 45m. Can't be much difference for Spurs to come back in that regard.

Managed to catch a full 90 minutes of this guy in action at the weekend. What a puto jugador he is. Wanted him at the time and we've missed out massively. Not bad defensively, great crosses, long passes, shots, set pieces. Guy was everywhere, has an incredible engine on him.

Got to be running close to being the best right back in the world.

Wish we had the money to get him and Romero, as we're interested in both when they were available.

Better than Trent as can actually defend to some degree.

The right back that was named as alternative to likes of Kounde while Barca stocked up on CBs and neglected RB/DM areas and pace up top.

Missed the boat now though.

Honestly doubt he would look as good under Xavi as Ange anyway.
