No wonder RM, Juve and Barca want the SL. EPL teams are just owning everything. Liverpool totally outplayed Milan with basically a B team.

The EPL was formed in 1992, in itself a break away from the English Football League, tho importantly promotion and relegation was included, thus avoiding a cartel.
The injection of finance from Murdochs Sky revolutionised the game. In time sadly due as well to disaster, stadiums were rebuilt. Football moved from lack of injection of finance in the 1980s, from owners being millionaires to billionaires.
The model could have been the German one, with more fan based ownership. But the genie was already out of the bottle, and Sky pumped more money accompanied by owners with seemingly bottomless wealth.
The game today is a million miles from the one that was played in the stadiums of the 80s. But the possibility of a SL was abhorrent in the UK. Such was the groundswell against it, that even PM Boris declaring if the FA do not stop it, he would bring in legislation to do so.
The possibility of a Super League with EPL clubs appears dead in the water.
What is not clear though, is where is the EPL headed? Finance appears to still be pouring in. Millionaires giving way to billionaires with some making way to zillionaires.
Will the top clubs always want to play Burnley or Norwich away? As when Wimbledon was moved to Milton Keynes, could a zillionaire decide he wants to be London or a different city based?
As City, Liverpool and Chelsea move further ahead, the likes of United, Spurs, Arsenal and even West Ham endeavour to close the gap to be part of the leading pack. But will CL meet the need, when there could be a possibility of the best clubs in Europe meeting regularly?
Arguably the two best players are Haaland and Mbappe , both ply their trade outside the EPL. But there is a case the next 8 or 9 players are all EPL based.
We see a pouring in of finance, followed by players and Europe’s best coaches. But where does it end up? If SL is blocked in the UK do we get a hyper inflated EPL?
I hope not.

You think he would be a good fit for us? He's not the most explosive winger like Dembele is, but his technique, ball control, dribbling seem to be much better. Awareness too.
