Ex-Barca president Sandro Rosell and current presidential candidate Victor Font met recently in Rosell's home. They hold a cordial relationship and are in constant communication about topics regarding the club. [sport]

Is this clown trying his hardest not to get elected or what?

He is out for me. #teamLaporta

Lol, meeting Rosell is the least bad thing he's done.

Probably just trying to get some dirt on Laporta though. :messi:

Font on Koeman (translated by Google Translate)

We continue to get questions about what would happen to Koeman if @sialfutur came to rule. Let's make another thread to clarify Down pointing backhand index:

1. In recent years we have worked on a football project with a complete organization chart, from vice president to the last coach of grassroots football.

2. A gear with many pieces that fit together to preserve and reinforce the model that has made us a reference and the best team in the world: the position game.

3. This project has been designed with Xavi Hern?ndez as General Manager, apart from being able to assume other responsibilities depending on the needs of the project at any given time.

4. Xavi would be complemented with talent in key positions such as Sports Management, Technical Secretariat, Medical Services, Methodology, Scouting, Psychology / Behavior, etc.

5. If we have the honor of governing, it seems essential to us to implement a winning, consistent and worked out project, where all the pieces fit together. You need to avoid patches or use names that do not maximize your chances of success in the medium to long term.

6. In this context, it is certain that if a positive dynamic of play and results were maintained, the project led by Xavi would rely on continuity in the position of Koeman and his assistants.

Based on this, I think that if performance and results are positive from Koeman, then he'll still be the coach and Xavi as the general manager if Font gets elected.

If true, then good to know that his stance has changed.

This sounds like a total bs statement in hope to not lose points if Koeman succeeds.

Weak position and doubt Koeman would accept having Xavi in charge of his future when Xavi is the next man in the job.

Would be a circus until Koeman leaves.

Font should say Koeman is in job if is a success and stop mentioning Xavis name every opportunity to add weight to his campaign.

Why wouldn't he just say that Xavi could continue coaching elsewhere if Koeman is a success and the lockerroom are happy to see him continue?

It's a rarity that managers stay more than 3-4 years at top clubs these days. The world isn't going to end if Xavi arrives to manage Barca 2-3 years into Font's presidency lol.

It is worse. He is saying Xavi will be in charge of Koemans future.

Ridiculous situation to have the next coach in charge of future of current coach. He will get torn to shreds if he goes into elections with that plan.

In some ways Xavi should have had the balls to take job now and deserves to wait until next time with no power position over Koeman if he is a success this season.

Font built built his campaign around Xavi and promises of doing the right thing in Comparison to Rosell/Barto.

Sure I like some of his ideas but his obsession with Xavi and some of his Ideas come off as trying to pander hard to Barca twitter. Koeman has started off strong and it left Font in a position where he has to compromise so he thinks Xavi will accept another role within the Club which I highly doubt as Xavi would probably just keep developing his Managment skills elsewhere.

Font messed up gambling so much on Xavi like the guy is some sort of Messiah and not realizing There's a chance Koeman can work out.

One more thing, any sporting project should be flexible.

The whole we are building a new project that complement all the pieces and Xavi is the heart of it doesn't make sense.

What if the project was a failure? what if one part of the project was a failure? The guy is just way too idealistic (in a bad way) and that isn't really good sign
