Hasn't been the guy that many believed could be a foundational piece in the midfield.
A good player but he has higher expectations placed on him, partly due to his fee and wages.

At LCM he is very good, at RCM he's shit and I think it's because he's actually a very one-footed footballer. Everything is done with his right foot.

Although it must be frustrating getting hooked off every game when others who are just as bad stay on.

Agreed.

Also our midfield composition is a bit of a mess where Pedri, Gavi and FDJ all prefer on the LCM while we don't have a specialist at the RCM.

He suited the LCM role more than right when Alba was taking width and Ferran/LW went narrower and he would depending on situation react to that and to help Busi.

Now bizarrely Xavi has Gavi on LCM, Alba going forward less and at times LB/DM and Ferran playing like a 90s EPL winger hugging touchline to get ball and dribblle asap to get at defence.

Xavis CM role when stay higher up and in between lines doesnt suit FDJ in slightest.

Yeah, but he made more mistakes in this game, and it was either him or Gavi
